This section summarises the service and care I and my team offer and our dedication to capturing the memories of your day you want to hold forever. I want you to know I am confident in my profession. I am not part time or part of a larger wedding service. I do this for a living and I know how to care for you.

This is the biggest day of your life so it has to be perfect. You have arranged the flowers, looked at dresses and shoes galore and found the perfect venue. All you need now is to have these precious moments captured as they unfold.........
Why Clare Price?

I Strongly believe you should choose a photographer you can have fun with as you'll be sharing your special day with them as well as your guests. The vast majority of really great wedding photographs don't happen by accident. They are crafted by the person behind the camera using a range of their skills.
When your spending anything between £10 and £30k on a wedding you want to know that you are going to have a truly magical set of images to remember it by aren't you?
At the end of the day the dress will be at best a bit muddy round the bottom, the shoes will be danced away, the cake will be eaten, the food consumed, the table decorations will be cleared away and possibly even the marquee dismantled and removed. the makeup will be washed off at bedtime, the dance floor lights turned off and what do you have left if you don't invest in great photography?
well you'll have your memories and maybe a few snaps from a selection of throw away cameras. But when you invest in great quality photography then you will be able to relive those moments time and time again.
When you think of it in sensible financial terms, its almost a sin to not have the best quality photography that your budget will allow. Traditionally it was always the rule of thumb that 10% of your budget was for the photography, so if you spent £20k on the whole wedding then you'd be looking at £2k for the photography. my advice would be to allow at least this to truly show the detail and wow of you big day for many years to come. Can you really afford to not invest in this of all elements of the day?

Clare's Style

Every Photographer has a style that they do best, and I am no exception. My style is informal and relaxed, however, I feel quite strongly that taking the more formal group shots is important too! I often speak to brides who tell me that they are not that bothered about the group shots. After the day is over and everyone has gone home, the cake is eaten, the shoes and dress are a bit the worse for wear, of all your wedding photography, these are the shots that can never be recaptured again. Family and friends sometimes come from miles and sometimes even from other continents to see you get married and share your special day. In 20 years time it will be these photographs that the kids/grandchildren will look at and remember back to how we all used to look and what a wonderful day everyone had! They are also usually the pictures that your family elders want to have and we don't want to upset the grandparents.
I capture as many candid shots as we can and blend into the background for much of the time. I don't use flash during the service unless its absolutely necessary and allowed. I mostly rely on softer natural light and use reflectors to create the look and feel you want.

For me this a passion, not just a job. I am a perfectionist, I know that time is precious and I deliver the those precious moments you didn’t see on the day as well as the ones you did. For full day coverage, I come with an assistant, but you can rest easy that it will be ME supporting you on your wedding day and neither a part-time hobbyist or an anonymous photographer you have never met before!

Being Prepared

I have invested heavily to ensure my equipment never lets me down, however I still come with all my equipment backed up! And I am fully insured. I also bring my studio lighting and set as an additional backup for potentially poor lighting and inclement weather. I also bring an assistant to help with equipment and candid shots for the storybook style coverage.

On the Day

So you have everything arranged and the big day is here. You can be sure, that I will be on hand to capture those special moments. From the Bridal party preparations, dependent on requirements and the Groom with the Best man and ushers at the venue, through to the ceremony, which is captured discretely and sensitively I will be there, capturing it all. Following the ceremony, I usually take the formal shots as requested by you, and family and guests are then captured celebrating your special day together. Of course I do have you on loan from your guests for a short period to take some more shots of just the two of you. My assistant and I then stay with you up to either the cake cutting shot, the speeches or the first dance, dependent on your requirements.
By arrangement I can stay for the full evening and into the small hours. Also by prior arrangement I can set up my mobile studio in a corner of the venue and take Event-type photographs for your guests to take away on the night. Silly as it may sound, I would suggest that you bring along some comfortable shoes (or wellys!) as well as your Jimmy Choo's. This way we can go and shoot in locations you otherwise may not wish to go!

The Images you Want

Whether you are a bit of a control freak who knows exactly what you want (i like these types as i get a really specific brief for the photos and the day) or if your the chilled out relaxed type of bride to be, I talk to you on several occasions from the initial consultation through to the engagement shoot and possibly even another get together over a coffee at mine or yours, so i can plan, plan and plan a bit more your wedding photography from start to finish. these conversations and ideas you have for how you want things to look will help me deliver what you want from your wedding photography.

I almost come across a bit like a wedding planner on occasion, as of all the people you have on board for your big day, I'm the one who will be with you every step of the way. In times of need when i am up to date on my schedule for the day, I've found myself ironing ties, steaming a dress, calling a florist and even pouring champagne! I've done the obligatory arranging of the wedding dress for the bride/groom shots but Ive also found myself carrying the train as well over a wet muddy field for a couple of shots! I am often the one calling time on chat when another stage is reached and i will never knowingly make you run over your schedule. as a professional i pride myself on being able to multitask and help in these ways when its required as I know my trade and craft.
